How To upgrade MySQL in InterWorx Server
You can upgrade MySQL in InterWorx using the remi repo. The latest available MySQL version is MySQL 5.5. The remi repo can be installed using following commands.
CentOS 6
wget http://rpms.remirepo.net/enterprise/remi-release-6.rpm rpm -ivh remi-release-6.rpm
CentOS 7
wget http://rpms.remirepo.net/enterprise/remi-release-7.rpm rpm -ivh remi-release-7.rpm
Once it is installed you can upgrade MySQL in InterWorx by following commands. Also, please make sure that you have backed up all of your databases before upgrading 🙂
yum --enablerepo=remi update mysql mysql-server
