Install the App according to your OS architecture. You can check the OS architecture using the following command.

getconf LONG_BIT

Also, check the new version by visiting the Official Website and all the available versions from GitHub Releases Page.

For Ubuntu 64 Bit

wget https://github.com/aluxian/Messenger-for-Desktop/releases/download/v2.0.9/messengerfordesktop-2.0.9-linux-amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i messengerfordesktop-2.0.9-linux-amd64.deb
sudo apt install -f

For Ubuntu 32 Bit

wget https://github.com/aluxian/Messenger-for-Desktop/releases/download/v2.0.9/messengerfordesktop-2.0.9-linux-i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i messengerfordesktop-2.0.9-linux-i386.deb
sudo apt install -f

Once it is installed, search for Messenger for Desktop on Unity dash and start the application.

Uninstall Facebook Messenger App (Optional)
